Project Overview/Elevator Pitch

1) Problem Statement - My problem is focused on more of a personal level. I'm not the greatest at writing so with this project I hope to fix this problem and learn to write better.

2) It Gets Worse - If I failed to solve this problem, becoming an author in the future could not happen then. In order to be a successful author, I have to know how to write to the best of my ability and make everything in a story flow. But, if I'm unable to fix this, I could potentially get rejected from publishers when I want my book to get out there.

3) Glimmer of Hope - My hopes for this project is that I can see how I can reword things and make the story better. While I'm writing it, I think I might look at some writing tips on the internet ti further help me solve my problem.

4) The Novel Situation - My idea can help me become a writer because it goes along with the saying, "Practice makes perfect." By practicing my writing my skills with this novel, I can hopefully see improvement of my pretty bland writing style.

5) The Credible Authority - "A cold gust of wind entered the city, leaving the snow on the ground with a sheet of ice glistening overtop." This is the kind of improvement I've made since starting the project several weeks ago. Earlier this year I would have written something that didn't flow as well as this or something that didn't get the clear image across. I am continually making improvements on my writing so I believe that it's possible for me to get even better at writing.

6) The Vision - By the end of the project, my goal is to have some sort of foundation of a book with at least 150 pages done so over the summer I can continue to achieve my overarching goal of completing a series of novels. With the amount of content I get done for the 20 Time Project, I hope to get to the point where I am at least more confident in my writing.
